1: Get Started with Online Application Assistance

Varying DMV offices sometimes supply different types of services so you will need to check before your visit to make sure the DMV closest to you provides the service you require. In addition, you can call to see if your DMV allows you to make a personal appointment.

Changing Your Address on Your South Carolina Drivers License

In South Carolina you must change your address within 10 days of moving.

You may be able to implement a South Carolina drivers license change of address online by visiting your South Carolina DMV's website. There you can obtain a duplicate drivers license.

However, once you have changed your address onlne, you will still need to wait to receive your replacement drivers license.


In Person

You also have the option of changing your address on your South Carolina drivers license in person at your local DMV.

Once there, you will need to fill out the necessary forms, provide proof of identification, and pay $10 for your new South Carolina drivers license.
